The John McNicholas Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation differs from many other foundations in two important respects. First, 100% of the money you commit goes into furthering our mission. Second, our mission is forward focused. We will change the landscape of pediatric brain tumor research by funding novel proposals targeted at moving forward in the care and treatment of pediatric brain tumor patients. Better care; better cure. It’s an ambitious goal, and that‘s why we need your help.

SO…WHERE IS YOUR MONEY GOING?
Our first funding project is very special because the idea came from John...
During John’s treatment, we saw first-hand the lack of activities available in the hospital for young adults. Although there were a lot of toys and games available, they were meant for younger patients and were not relevant or interesting to the older patients like John. So the John McNicholas Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation created and donated “John’s Cart of Fun” to The Lurie Children’s Day Hospital. The cart contains 30 iPads for patient use. The cart will supply a much needed distraction for these young people who can spend up to 100 days a year in clinics and hospitals.
Moving forward, our primary focus is funding research designed to gain an understanding into the complexity of this disease.
